Wild Animals I Know
The pancakes turned out too flat,
un-American, their activities too spare.
Those roses are too bright, full.
The tea rose only exists because of water.
In the grass, my feet are scratched.
The moon ruined it, disappearing
just before the sunrise. Wouldn't
it figure. On down the road.
